Dr. Kissinger received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los
Angeles, in 1983, Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Children’s Hospital, Los
Angeles, in 1986, and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University, in
2008. Her dissertation was research on comparing treatment outcomes for patellofemoral
pain syndrome. She also completed her manual therapy certification from the North
American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in 2002 and has been a nationally
certified athletic trainer since 1991. Dr. Kissinger’s areas of expertise include treatment
of knee, shoulder, and spinal injuries, with specific interest in working with female
athletes. Her past experience includes working with competitive athletes at the high
school, collegiate, Olympic, and professional level. She has also taught anatomy and
physiology for massage therapy students and served as clinical instructor to many
physical therapy interns.
